About Purple Giraffe Psychology

Purple Giraffe Psychology investigates intellectual abilities, academic skills and behavioural concerns for school-aged children and university students. This is done by providing comprehensive psychometric testing and reports which can be important instruments in guiding both parents and teachers to assist with learning and development outcomes.

Lyn Verrall – Registered Psychologist & Teacher

PG Psychology is headed by Lyn Verrall – a registered & experienced psychologist & teacher. The practice is located in the beautiful beach suburb of Glenelg, Adelaide, South Australia. 

Lyn finds engaging with children, parents and teachers in their partnership of exploration enriching. A desire to connect in collaboration to support these students for a positive impact on their learning and growth is what has taken her on a journey from classroom Early Childhood Teacher, Special Needs Literacy Teacher to Psychologist.  

Lyn has taught for twenty-five years across the Independent Schools, Catholic and DFE sectors. She holds an M.Ed (in Literacy), a B.A. (in Psychology) and a Post Grad Dip (also in Psychology). Since 2009, Lyn has worked as a School Psychologist and a Psychologist in Western Australia, and as a Psychologist here in South Australia. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of Learning Difficulties Australia.  

She is looking forward to empowering the home school partnerships of families to support academic progress and well-being outcomes.
